Ski area development potential

Ski areas in New Zealand have historically been under utilised, only operating a few months per year.

Although a lot has changed in the last decade with more resorts opening for summer, the UNWTO’s 'Understanding and Quantifying Mountain Tourism report' found there is still room for product development outside peak seasons.

Just over half (52%) of the countries responding to the survey offer a year-round mountain experience

Here are 10 summer experiences that aren't mountain biking:

1. Custom family 'play parks' - for themed adventure experiences: https://buff.ly/42Z5UWf
