Less visitors, increased spending and a better visitor experience?

Sounds to good to be true...

But this is Cardrona’s approach to their 2023 winter ski season, using dynamic pricing and limiting visitor numbers.

Dynamic pricing allows businesses to adjust their prices based on supply and demand, changing prices to reflect market conditions.

This allows them to become more productive and provide a better visitor experience.

If tourism continues to grow in New Zealand, tools (like dynamic pricing) will likely become common practice for experience providers (it already is in accommodation and airlines).

However, it also means limiting availability which could lead to big disappointments, especially if visitors aren't aware of the change.
