How do you build a viral visitor experience?

Air BnB have a interesting framework - "You have to design the extreme to come backwards”.


It's based around designing a 11-star experience.



Because if you only ask, ‘What can I do to make this experience better?’ you’ll likely say something small.



But what if you were to ask, ‘What would it take to design something that you would literally tell every single person you know?’.



You start to ask questions that design to the extreme which then helps to think through different solutions.


The point of the process is that the 10 or 11-star experiences are likely (and should be) very unrealist but there may be a sweet spot, previously unthought of, that can be achieved.
