The Product Developer role was a new position at Tourism Bay of Plenty (TBOP), leading the efforts to develop the destination. 

The role has responsibility to grow the visitor economy, but also apply genuine and educated planning to the potential impacts that developments may have eg socially, environmentally, culturally.

One of only several RTO’s in NZ with a destination management mandate, I played a leading role in the destination development planning for 2021 - 2023 as well as executed on core role responsibilities for the ‘Grow Capability & Increase Supply’ pillar.

Day to day I work on numerous destination management workstreams, in a highly collaborative way with key stakeholders including local government, iwi, the business community, community organisations and residents.
